About My Book
In 2021, I published my book ‘Modern Method for Drums’ - a summary of the wide variety of styles that i’ve taught and played in my career. Rather than being organised by grade, the book is organised by what sort of element of playing it’s focussing on:
Exercises; Styles; Musicianship Skills; Rudiments; Grooves; Techniques; Studies; and Warm-Ups.
The book is unique in that it can take you from your very first lesson right up to playing at a professional level. You’ll be guided carefully through every style and technical ability you’d learn in graded material, but crucially, you’ll also be guided through how to use them, rather than being given individual examples with no context.
